Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has acknowledged the challenge of facing Barcelona ahead of Tuesday’s clash at RAMS Park. The Turkish Super Lig champions will host the Spanish giants as they seek to recover from their opening-day defeat to Sporting Lisbon. Osimhen acknowledged Barcelona’s quality but expressed confidence in Galatasaray’s ability to rise to the occasion.
The Nigerian international stressed the importance of pressing high, remaining disciplined and showing resilience against a Barcelona side known for dominating possession. “When you’re playing against a team with such quality players, you have to play with both excitement and seriousness; you need to apply pressure in the front area. They possess the ball a lot, so in a match like this, you need to show some resistance,” Osimhen was quoted by ahaber.
He added that Galatasaray were prepared for the challenge, regardless of the outcome, while expressing his excitement about facing Barcelona in front of their home supporters. “We’re ready, and whatever the result may be from that game, we’ll face it head-on. Playing against Barcelona at Rams Park will be magnificent,” he added.
