Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi came off the bench as a substitute for Hamburg in their 1-0 narrow win against Stuttgart in Saturday’s Bundesliga game. The Nigerian international, who has netted one goal in six appearances for Hamburg this season, entered the match in the 78th minute as a replacement for Vieira, making a lively impression during his late cameo.

Playing in front of their home supporters at the Volksparkstadion, Hamburg adopted a disciplined, compact defensive strategy under coach Merlin Polzin, frustrating a dominant Stuttgart side that controlled 66% of possession. Stuttgart created several clear-cut opportunities throughout the afternoon, coming closest in the first half when Deniz Undav rattled the post from close range.

The visitors continued to pepper the Hamburg goal with 19 total attempts, but resilient defending and sharp goalkeeping from Daniel Heuer Fernandes kept them at bay. As the game headed toward a stalemate, Hamburg struck with lethal efficiency in the dying moments.

In the 88th minute, Miro Muheim, who also fired his side to victory against Hoffenheim the previous week, found space and unleashed a decisive strike past Dennis Seimen to send the home fans into raptures.
