Venezia manager Davide Nicola has praised Akor Adams following the striker’s decisive contribution to his side’s impressive 1-0 victory over Napoli at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on Saturday. Adams scored the winning goal four minutes into the second half, capitalising on a defensive error by Napoli’s Benoît Badiashile before firing the ball into the net to secure all three points for Venezia.
The result marked Venezia’s second victory in Serie A this season, while Napoli suffered their third defeat of the campaign. Despite admitting that he prefers not to single out individual players, Nicola was full of praise for Adams, highlighting the striker’s commitment, key attributes and potential for further development. “I don’t like to talk about individuals.
Adams puts his heart and soul into it, he has some very important qualities, he helps the team. Akor has incredible room for improvement,” Nicola was quoted as saying by Pazzi di Fanta. Adams’ match-winning performance further underlined his importance to Venezia as they continue their fight for consistency in the Italian top flight. Venezia will next travel to face Genoa on Sunday, October 25, 2026, as they look to build on their morale-boosting victory over Napoli.
