China PR U-20 coach Wang Jun has said he is very satisfied with his team’s result against Nigeria’s Falconets, hailing his players’ discipline and game plan after their group stage clash at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. China PR held the Falconets to a hard-fought draw in their second Group F match on Thursday, a result that keeps both teams in contention for a place in the knockout rounds.
Speaking after the game, Coach Wang in a chat with FIFA.com, praised his team’s defensive organization and expresses satisfaction with the result. “The situation in our group is very obvious because Spain is a very top team so the match between us and Nigeria is key for the positioning in the Round of 16.
“Even though we missed some chances in the game, ultimately I am very satisfied with the result.” With one game left in the group, China PR now turn their attention to their final match against Spain. A win would all but guarantee progress to the Round of 16. Nigeria will also need a positive result in their final group game against New Caledonia to advance to the knockout stages.
