Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai has endorsed his partnership with Alexis Mac Allister, stating they have an instinctive understanding following a 2–1 Champions League win over Atlético Madrid Both players scored in Liverpool’s comeback win against Atlético Madrid at Anfield on Wednesday.
Reacting after the game, Szoboszlai stated that his midfield partnership with Alexis Mac Allister can bring long-term success despite early-season critics “I’ve said it many times, I love to play with Macca,” Szoboszlai said at full-time. “We know each other, and he knows what I want to do, and I know exactly what he wants to do – I think that helps the team as well.
“It’s the manager’s decision who will play the next games and I think everyone is ready to compete with each other, but we have to become a family. Meanwhile, Mac Allister publicly revealed disappointment over not receiving a new contract offer, unlike teammates Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch who signed extensions.
