The Nigeria Football Federation,NFF, has dismissed reports claiming that the Falconets are planning to boycott training ahead of their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup quarter-final clash against Colombia, Completesports.com reports. Reports had emerged suggesting that the players were considering downing tools ahead of the crucial fixture. However, the NFF has described the reports as false, insisting that the team remains focused on the tournament.
“Reports in a section of the media that the 🇳🇬 Falconets are planning to boycott training is absolute falsehood,” the NFF stated. “The girls are now heading to training for their last session before tomorrow’s match against Colombia.” The Falconets secured their place in the quarter-finals after recording an impressive 3-0 victory over England. They will face Colombia for a place in the semi-finals at Stadion Miejski ŁKS in Łódź on Sunday.
