Kai Havertz will undergo an MRI scan on a hamstring injury sustained while playing for Germany. The Arsenal striker left the pitch just 30 minutes into his country’s 1-1 Nations League draw with the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Thursday night. Earlier in the first half, Havertz had been on the receiving end of a nasty-looking challenge from Crystal Palace’s Quinten Timber, the brother of his Arsenal teammate Jurrien Timber, as reported by talkSPORT.
As Havertz played a pass on the volley first time, Timber’s studs connected with the Gunners forward’s right knee, prompting him to go down on the ground. Havertz tried to play on after receiving treatment but was ultimately unable to continue with a hamstring issue appearing to be the problem despite the contact from Timber being on his knee.
