A Utah judge on Tuesday ruled that prosecutors presented enough evidence for 23-year-old Tyler Robinson to stand trial for the murder of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk. District Judge Tony Graf issued the decision after a day of arguments in a probable cause hearing. Robinson is accused of murdering the Turning Point USA co-founder during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem on Sept. 10, 2025.

Robinson will stand trial on all counts: aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, obstruction of justice, tampering with a witness and violent offense committed in the presence of a child. The proceedings were livestreamed by Salt Lake City TV channel KUTV, despite objections from Robinson's lawyers, who argued such coverage jeopardizes his right to a fair trial.
