Edochie made the remarks during an appearance on content creator IsbaeU’s podcast, Curiosity Made Me Ask, where he was asked why he believes in Jesus instead of traditional gods such as Amadioha. During the conversation, the actor was asked about his belief in Amadioha and other traditional deities.

His response referenced the biblical account of Jesus Christ walking on water, a miracle recorded in the New Testament.
