England manager Thomas Tuchel has waxed lyrical about the blossoming partnership between Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, praising the duo’s telepathic connection following their historic 7-0 demolition of Croatia in the UEFA Nations League. The devastating combination at the top of the pitch has taken the Three Lions to new heights, contributing a staggering ten goal involvements between them across their opening three Nations League fixtures.
Following tactical tweaks implemented by Tuchel post-World Cup, pushing Bellingham into a more advanced, dangerous role alongside captain Kane, the pair have terrorized opposing defences. Reflecting on their growing synergy on the international stage, Tuchel expressed immense satisfaction with how his star assets are combining: “They get better and better,” Tuchel said. “They love playing with each other.
They understand each other better.” Highlighting the collective fluidity of his attack, the England boss added, “We adjusted our positioning a little bit after the World Cup. Jude almost plays a little bit more offensive for us.
It’s a front four first of all, and the movements and counter-movements are on the highest level.” With Kane continuing to lead by example and Bellingham pulling the strings in the final third, Tuchel’s tactical vision has given the rest of Europe serious cause for concern as the squad builds toward future tournament glory.
