Arsenal came from behind to secure a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium in Saturday’s Premier League, courtesy of crucial second-half strikes from Riccardo Calafiori and substitute Bruno Guimarães. After a cagey, scoreless first half following the international break, the match burst into life shortly after the interval.
Leeds stunned the home crowd in the 55th minute when James Justin arrived at the end of a clever pull-back from Gabriel Gudmundsson to hammer past David Raya. The setback forced the Gunners into an immediate response. Manager Mikel Arteta turned to his bench, and the pressure paid off in the 61st minute when Riccardo Calafiori rose to steer home a header following Ben White’s knock-down.
Momentum firmly shifted to the hosts, and substitute Bruno Guimarães completed the turnaround in the 70th minute. The Brazilian midfielder collected the ball near the edge of the area and whipped a precise low shot into the far corner to seal the 2–1 win. The victory moves Arsenal up to 15 points, sitting near the upper echelons of the Premier League table.
