Ranchers Bees have appointed experienced tactician Ma’aji Muhammad as their new technical adviser following the dismissal of Usman Abd’allah. Abd’allah was sacked on Saturday after a disappointing start to the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season, with the Kaduna-based club recording two wins, two draws and five defeats in nine matches under his watch.
Muhammad, who last managed Niger Tornadoes in the NPFL, returns to the league after being replaced by Kabiru Dogo at the beginning of the current campaign. The experienced coach has now been tasked with improving Ranchers Bees’ fortunes and helping the team escape the relegation zone. Ranchers Bees currently sit 19th on the NPFL table with eight points from nine matches, leaving them under pressure to turn their season around.
Muhammad will begin his tenure when Ranchers Bees host Doma United at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Sunday, where he will hope to make a positive start and guide the team towards improved results.
