Bayern Munich superstar Harry Kane has expressed satisfaction with his side’s hard-fought 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the Champions League. The Gunners took the lead in the 25th minute through Eberechi Eze, but Alphonso Davies quickly leveled the score for the hosts. Kane then put Bayern ahead from the penalty spot, only for a late Declan Rice equalizer to restore parity and ensure the spoils were shared.
Speaking to UEFA after the final whistle, Kane admitted that a draw was a fair reflection of the match and briefly touched upon his anticipation for the upcoming Ballon d’Or ceremony. “I thought it was a good performance, and a draw was probably a fair result overall. We just didn’t quite get enough right tonight to secure the win,” he said.
“It was nice to help get us back into the game, and I thought we had some good moments, just not enough of them over the full 90 minutes.” Looking ahead to the Ballon d’Or presentation next Monday, Kane added: “It would be amazing to win. The voting closed a long time ago, so there’s nothing I can do now except wait and see what happens.”
